Watt recorded Wild Graces in a home studio over the past year.
He will launch it in Bendigo with a gig on December 4 at BillyRoy’s Blues Bar at the Goldmines Hotel.
“I love that space and while it’s small, I just love the sound of the room as well as the setup,” Watt said.
Watt moved to Castlemaine about three years ago with his wife.
“It didn’t take long before I seemed to meet so many amazing musicians who live in the area and were running gigs of festivals,” he said.
“There is a wealth of talent in the area.”
Watt said he had all the songs written for the album when he moved to Castlemaine.
However, he took his time to set up the home studio gradually.
“It’s probably the most honest recording I’ve done in that I went in by myself, played the songs once or twice and kept the songs as is.”
