With next year’s AFL grand final to be played on October 1, the 2016 Bendigo, Heathcote District, Loddon Valley and North Central league grand finals will all be played on the four Saturdays throughout September without any clashes.
The grand final month will kick off on September 3 with Heathcote District.
Loddon Valley will play its grand final on September 10.
North Central’s flag will be up for grabs on September 17.
And the month will culminate with the Bendigo grand final on September 24.
With the grand finals played over four Saturdays this year – rather than the usual three when Bendigo and North Central clashed on the same day – there were total gate takings of $206,445.
Meanwhile, the BFNL fixture is yet to be finalised for next season, but a grand final rematch between Strathfieldsaye and Sandhurst at Flight Centre Park will be among the round one games.
