Grenfell was one point behind coming into the last range at 900 yards, but held his nerve and scored 50.8 for a final score of 199.23 to win narrowly from Werribee Rifle Club’s Keith Toh who fired 198.20 points.
Grenfell has been ranked as one of Australia’s best rifle shooters for more than 20 years.
