Residents had the opportunity to show off their hard work from the village’s workshop as part of the Men’s Hobby Night.
Up to 100 people walked through the display, chatting with the residents about their works and learning about the intricate detail that goes into each piece.
Village manager Chris Collier said the workshop was well utilised in the village, with building model yachts among the most popular activities.
“A few of the men made yachts and they go down to Lake Weeroona to sail them on the water,” she said.
“When people come to the village, they might see the women doing craft and wonder what there is for the men.
“At least 10 residents here regularly use the workshop.”
Held in the village’s community centre, guests enjoyed a complimentary sausage sizzle as the works provided the backdrop.
There were also rocking horses and restored furniture among the items on display, as well as some of the residents’ collections, including a large display of toy cars and other vehicles.
The real thing parked itself outside, as a number of class cars took residents and guests back in time.
