The National Skate Park League series event at Eaglehawk Skate Park features Scoot, BMX and Skate categories.
City of Greater Bendigo community partnerships manager Steven Abbott said the competition would celebrate the athletic and creative abilities of local young people.
“Not everyone participates in mainstream sports such as football, netball or cricket, and this event gives skaters and riders a great opportunity to get active and showcase their daring skills," he said.
"The competition will also highlight the Eaglehawk Skate Park as a great local facility, which is one of many skate parks and BMX tracks in Greater Bendigo.
“Anyone interested in competing is encouraged to get to the skate park early, as there is only room for 20 people per age group, per category to compete."
Registrations open at 10.30am for Scoot, noon for BMX and 2pm for Skate competitors
Age group breakdowns are Scoot 14-and-under and 15-and over; BMX 14-and-under and 15-and over; Skate 12-and-under, 16-and-under and open male and female.
Winners progress to a regional final at Moama Skate Park on November 1 and a state final on December 12 at Riverslide Skate Park in Melbourne.
A national final will be staged in Melbourne next March featuring winners of the respective state finals.
