A charity drive from the Ravenswood service station to the Long Gully Community Centre on Saturday, October 10, will raise much needed food and funds for the non-profit organisation.
The event is the idea of Bendigo TAFE diploma of community services students Maddie McCartin and Daryl Lynch.
It comes as Bendigo Foodshare battles a shortage of food donations.
Mr Lynch said cars and bikes of all vintages and makes were welcome for the Show Off Your Pride and Joy event.
"It's astounding to think that about 25 per cent of (City of Greater) Bendigo residents have experienced a food crisis in the past 12 months," he said.
"And many of those people rely on Foodshare.
"Anything that we can do to ease the load on Foodshare can help so many people."
Mr Lynch said organisers had learned of Bendigo Foodshare’s work as part of their TAFE studies and wanted to do something to help.
He said the event was not limited to motoring enthusiasts and was open to anyone who wanted to help an important and deserving organisation.
Foodshare volunteers help distribute much needed to 74 groups across central Victoria, including schools.
More than one million kilograms of food is delivered to the region's most vulnerable residents each year.
Entry to Show Off your Pride and Joy is by donation of food items, including canned food, packet rice, pasta, other non-perishable items, or sanitary items.
A gold coin donation sausage sizzle and face painting will operate on the day.
Foodshare is on the lookout for volunteers to assist with food delivery and retrieval, office and general warehouse duties, or liaising with agencies and food donors.
