BENDIGO: – An unknown offender attempted to steal a Nissan Skyline from Mitchell street between 3 and 4pm yesterday.
The owner returned to her car at 4pm and noticed it was unlocked and a pair of scissors were in the ignition.
She attempted to start the vehicle with no success.
– Between 7am and 10am an unknown offender attempted to enter a VL Commodore in Gladstone Street yesterday.
WEST BENDIGO: An unknown offender gained entry to a Ford Laser parked in the Bendigo Stadium car park.
The person removed the door barrel lock between 5pm and 10.30 pm yesterday. The person did not steal anything.
Bendigo Police Sergeant Frank Peiffer said the vehicle was not parked within the area covered by the security camera.
He urged the public to ensure they park in more conspicuous places.
LONG GULLY: – A car parked on the front lawn of a house in McClure Street, Long Gully was broken into between 11 and 11.15pm last night.
The driver’s door was forced open and a car stereo, a navigation system and some loose change were stolen.
Police have recovered what they believe to be the offenders vehicle.
– Between 11.15 and 11.25pm last night an offender stole small change from a vehicle on Moran Street, Long Gully.
The suspect ran off in a northerly direction after the vehicle owner heard a noise outside.
HEATHCOTE: Victoria Police are investigating the death of three-month-old baby girl.
