Men Craig Conn, Matt Cornwall and Zach Lahn and women Tracey Johnson and Chelsie Hird will all don the green and gold for Australian Country teams.
Conn and Lahn have been selected in the under-21 men’s team that will will tour Fiji in December, while Cornwall has been picked in the senior team for a tour of Hong Kong and Japan next year.
Johnson has been picked for the third time in the senior women’s team that will tour Hong and Japan, and Hird will represent the under-21 women for the first time when she tours Fiji.
The teams were selected following the Australian Country Hockey Championships in Woolongong.
The Victoria Country women’s team that featured six Bendigo players – Brioni Lahn, Johnson, captain Maddy White, Kate Shallard, Chantelle Van Cooten and Hird – defeated Western Australia 2-0 in the final to win the gold medal.
Conn, Cornwall and Zach Lahn were all part of the Victoria Country men’s team that claimed a silver medal after going down 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out in the final against New South Wales.
Bendigo’s Paul Lahn was an assistant coach of the men’s team.
