Since 1950, only three teams have gone through a BFL home and away season unbeaten – Golden Square in 2011 and 1978, and Rochester in 1962.
The Storm welcome back plenty of class into their side with the returns of Matt Ferguson, Shaun Everington and Tom Dowd to the team that beat Gisborne by 80 points last week, but have injury blows with Matt Smith, Ben Lester, Lachlan Sharp and Sean Johns all out.
While the Bloods will be massive underdogs, they produced a competitive effort against the flag favourite Storm on the Queen’s Birthday, winning two quarters in what was a 34-point loss.
Meanwhile, Kangaroo Flat and Gisborne will be aiming to finish their BFL seasons on a winning note when they meet at Bendigo Mazda Oval on Saturday.
The Roos are coming off a fighting three-point win over Kyneton last week that ended a six-game losing streak, while the Bulldogs have struggled away from Gardiner Reserve this year, winning just one of their eight games on the road.
