Figures released by the National Health Performance Authority this week show 75 per cent of 15-year-old girls in Bendigo were fully vaccinated against the virus in 2013, up from 69 per cent in 2012.
The Victorian average was the nation’s highest in 2013 at 77 per cent.
Tasmania lagged behind with just 65 per cent of 15-year-old girls fully vaccinated against the virus in 2013.
