Expect a mostly sunny morning with the slight (30%) chance of a shower this evening - Bendigo 10, Echuca 12, Maryborough 10, Kyneton 8, Redesdale 10, Castlemaine 9.
EARLIER: A SEVERE frost warning has been issued for Tuesday morning in seven Victorian regions, including Northern Country, Central, North Central, Wimmera, Mallee, North East and East Gippsland.
The Bureau has forecast temperatures down to minus four degrees, which could cause significant crop damage in parts of the Northern Country, including Bendigo and Echuca.
Frost with temperatures down to minus two degrees are forecast in parts of the North Central, Central, Wimmera and Mallee.
The bureau has warned that temperatures at ground level can be many degrees lower than those recorded by standard weather stations, especially in calm conditions with very clear skies.
Bureau duty forecaster Terry Ryan said with the temperature in Bendigo expected to reach minus two degrees overnight, there was a potential for ice on the region’s roads.
He warned drivers to drive to the conditions.
