Having been a game outside the top five after round seven, the Bloods have since lost their past seven matches by an average of 55 points ahead of Saturday’s QEO clash against Kangaroo Flat.
“We want to finish the year strongly and just need to find a spark, get all the little things right and attack this last month with the vigor that we’ve shown in patches and see if we can do that for longer,” Oliver said on Friday.
As was the case last year, the Bloods have struggled in attack during their seven losses in a row in which they have averaged just 46 points per game.
The Bloods are 2-12 and need at least one more victory to improve on last year.
While finals are off the agenda for the Bloods, Kangaroo Flat sits a game outside the top five and needs to turn around a run of four-consecutive losses.
Saturday’s QEO game starts at 2.20pm.
