The show opens on Thursday and its CCB’s first production at Ulumbarra Theatre.
Director Lisa Darlow said she was amazed by the talent shown by the more than 150 students involved in all areas of the show.
“Students have spent months working together, both on stage and behind the scenes, tirelessly rehearsing and embracing this incredible opportunity to reach their own potential. This is shaping up to be a spectacular show,” she said.
Set in the 1960s, Hairspray follows teenager Tracy Turnblad (played by Maddison Ledwidge) as she follows her dream to dance on the Corny Collins Show.
CCB’s Hairspray is on at Ulumbarra Theatre on July 30 and 31 from 7.30pm and August 1 from 6.30pm.
