A running back, Kirkpatrick passed the season’s 1000-yard mark in the 58-8 win on Bendigo’s turf at Tom Flood Sports Centre.
Quarter-back Lucas Elliston went into the clash needing two yards to reach the 1000-yard yark and did so in another strong win by the division two ladder leaders.
A lot of the Dragons’ back-up players gained valuable match time.
The Dragons kicked in to support the Adams family in its fund-raising quest for the Niemann Pick Type C Disease Foundation.
More than $1200 was raised as the clubs vied for the Goldfields Bowl.
After this weekend’s rest, Bendigo will prepare for a semi-final clash with Pakenham Silverbacks on August 9 at a venue to be advised.
