The two-rider teams event will be a non-stop duel lasting three hours.
Contenders in the Expert Class include Heath Cain and Phil Stradbroke.
They were seventh in the opening round at Wedderburn.
The Pony Express is a lot different to what they and many of their rivals are used to in club racing at Ravenswood.
“Most of our racing is on circuits, so bush riding throws up a lot of different challenges,” Cain said.
“There are logs to dodge, and the course could either be wet and slippery, or really dusty.”
Under the race format, riders change every lap.
Lap times are expected to be about 15 minutes.
Cain is racing a KTM 450 in his fourth Pony Express campaign.
The course for Sunday’s action is 10km past Stewarts Bridge, Echuca.
Either way Cain, Stradbroke and their rivals know they are in for a gruelling event.
Classes being contested include Novice (Clubman), Expert, Pro, and individual.
Cain said the courses at Wedderburn, Stewarts Bridge and for the finale at Echuca-Moama were a great test for every rider.
The BMCC event is a fund-raiser for Kiwanis Bendigo.
The action begins at 10am. Free admission to the course. Full catering available.
