Tobacco retailers fail test
Three Bendigo tobacco retailers have failed the latest round of test purchasing conducted by the City of Greater Bendigo. Environmental health and local laws manager Susannah Milne said it was difficult to understand how the breaches to the Victorian Tobacco Act had occurred. “The rules around selling cigarettes to minors have been heavily publicised since the Act was introduced,” she said. “So the fact three retailers failed to comply with the Act is pretty disappointing.”
