There are several busy and therefore dangerous roads during the hours before and after school.
It's encouraging to know the City of Greater Bendigo has recognised this and taken action to put in a new school crossing on Reservoir Road between Aviary Court and Nabilla Crescent.
The move was in response to concerns raised about the safety of students travelling to both Kennington and St Therese’s primary schools.
There are many others also walking to nearby Bendigo South East Secondary College or to bus stops to transport them to various other schools.
Parents and students can take some comfort to know that crossing busy Reservoir Road will be a little safer from the beginning of term three.
