The fifth-placed Storm has home-court advantage against the second-placed Sandhurst at Flight Centre Park in Tannery Lane.
A major highlight of Storm’s season was a 12-goal win against Gisborne at Strathfieldsaye in round eight of the Bendigo Football Netball League season.
Storm played brilliant netball at home when it clashed with the ladder-leading Golden Square in round 10.
Although the match ended in a nine-goal loss, Storm’s slick teamwork and its accuracy in the goalring put Square under immense pressure.
The Mali Roberts-coached Storm will be determined to bring the same level of intensity to this clash.
When these clubs met in round one, Sandhurst won by 17 goals at the QEO.
In the rematch, Storm centre Brianna Dalrymple-Monro will be keen to play well against her former club.
A Storm attack led by Cara Bastian as goalshooter and Caitlin Hamilton at goal attack starred in last week’s 39-goal win at Eaglehawk.
The Carol Cathcart-coached Sandhurst has won nine matches and is second on the ladder.
In its latest hit-out, Sandhurst won by 19 goals at Kyneton.
Grand finalists last September, Kangaroo Flat and Golden Square meet again on Saturday at Bendigo Mazda Oval, Dower Park.
Although not bounding along as well as last season, Kangaroo Flat has a 7-4 record and is a tough prospect at home.
Kyneton faces a resurgent Gisborne.
In Sunday’s play, Castlemaine hosts Maryborough at Camp Reserve.
Two wins behind the fifth-placed Storm, Maryborough must-win this contest.
South Bendigo and Eaglehawk have a chance to improve on their win record of one and two respectively.
The Bloods and Hawks will play at the QEO.
