Unfortunately we were not told where it was held. I understand it was the soon to be demolished Kangaroo Flat Community Leisure Centre.
People from various dance backgrounds have told me it is the best dance floor in Bendigo.
I do hope the Councillors - Fyffe, Lyons, Ruffell, Williams and Weragoda – all saw this feature and appreciated it.
What a lamentable situation that the best hall venue in Bendigo is to be sacrificed for aesthetic reasons only. Lateral thinking, compromise and common sense just did'nt come into it.

What has happened to our country?
What is happening to the Australia we all once knew. Or more to the point, what has happened to our country.
Our down to earth Aussie country, a place where we all led a busy, but happy happy life, went to the footy on Saturday arvo, and if anything did go haywire it was met with a “she'll be right mate.”
Australians are well aware of the changing threats to our country.
Differences of opinion have always occurred.
But their has been a siesmic change in attitudes and responses from Government.
Now any difference of opinion is met with a sledge hammer response. So what do we
have, a looming democratic dictatorship.
Secrecy is the order of the day.
The Opposition are too afraid of being wedged by another three word slogan.
For anybody to suggest that the Opposition, would roll out the red carpet for terrorists is obscene, and gutter politics.
But that seems the normal approach, and is simply a distraction from their abysmal economic record.
They simply cannot bring themselves to talk about anything else, because they have nothing positive to say—absolutely nothing.
The latest controversy concerns dozens of doctors and workers at detention centres challenging the Abbott Government to prosecute them for speaking out about conditions at these centres.
This restriction was also agreed to by the Labor party.
The new law makes it a crime for an entrusted person to disclose information about detention centres at Nauru or Manus Island.
This is not a prison camp, but is being treated as one.
Stifling information only suggests that you have something to hide.
How can this action be tolerated.
This was not restricted pre 2013.
Now if this Government disagrees with anything – censor it.?
So our country has turned a full circle, and present indications suggest, this is where it will remain.
All of this just reminds me, that I have lived, and enjoyed the best years of Australia—sad, but true.
The response to that is “that today's youth have never seen anything different”.
May be so, but compared to earlier times it is a world apart.

Marriage is for all
Why are we spending so much time and money on gay marriage?
If people who are gay want to get married let them, it is not our business. Politicians should get on and run the country – that's what we voted you in for not to spend time and my money on someone else's private life. You use the privacy law on so many occasions use it now. If you spent as much time on upping our pension we would be able to live a decent life.
