The Racine 70.3 will be raced on July 19.
Griffin’s latest race was Ironman Couer d'Alene.
Extreme heat, up to 38 degrees, affected many competitors and led to Griffin deciding to withdraw from the contest at the end of the cycle leg.
A previous winner of the Bendigo Advertiser Sports Star of the Year, Griffin’s focus will now be on the 70.3 distance.
