Coached by Hayley Bolton, the team scored a 16-12 victory over the St Albans/Caroline Springs association in the grand final.
BFNL was undefeated at all its tournaments in May, including the zone qualifying event, and did not drop a match on the final day either.
They were held to draws by Albury and Banyule during pool matches, but still finished second in their group.
The girls easily accounted for Goulburn Valley 13-7 in their semi-final to reach the championship decider.
It was the first time since 2010 that BFNL had won the title and they did it without Kangaroo Flat goaler Annie Spears, who was out injured.
BFNL’s open squad also performed admirably, winning six of their nine pool games and going down in the semi-final by three to eventual winners Geelong.
