Evely played 11 senior matches for the Richmond Tigers in the-then VFL in 1956 and ‘58.
A member of the Bendigo District Cricket Association Hall of Fame, Evely played in three premiership-winning teams and was coach of another at Eaglehawk.
A thanksgiving service will be held from 2pm on Thursday at William Farmer’s Victoria Street Chapel.
