St Paul’s: This Sunday is the sixth Sunday after Pentecost. The Psalmist tells us to “walk about Zion, go round about her…” so that we might tell others about what kind of a God we have, one who guides us for ever.
A pilgrimage to the holy sites in Jerusalem makes one realise that it is a place where our God has acted and the Church has commemorated those acts, over many centuries.
Services this Sunday are 8am – said Eucharist; 9.30am – Choral Eucharist; and 11am – celebration Eucharist with children’s church.

St Kilian's: The theme for this Sunday is “We All Stand On Sacred Ground: Learn, Respect & Celebrate”.
This begins a week of celebrations (NAIDOC Week) throughout the nation where Aboriginal peoples celebrate their spirituality, identity, culture and survival.
“We are truly grateful for our Church leaders who have challenged the country concerning the racism, injustices, disadvantage & poverty experienced by Indigenous people. Yet, we all know Indigenous people are still suffering. It is timely to reassess the way we do things together. Without doubt there still needs to be greater understanding, respect, recognition and much more to be done to bring about equality and reconciliation. And to allow our souls to be healed.” National Aboriginal & TSI Catholic Council.
Pope Francis' Encyclical: Laudato Sii: On the care of our common home” was published on June 18 and in it Pope Francis has given the Latin title, ‘Praised be to you,’ from St Francis’ ‘Canticle of the Sun’ praising God for all God’s creation, and he says “This encyclical is addressed to all”. OASIS CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Last Sunday the congregation received sound wisdom from a DVD presentation by John Bevere on Honour’s Reward and how it attracts God’s Favour and Blessing.
The New Testament speaks of four divisions of delegated authority: civil, church, family and social.
In speaking of social, it includes employment, bosses, teachers, coaches, etc.
The Kingdom of God has rank, order and delegated authority, but the Western world tries to understand Kingdom principles with a democratic mindset.
Let’s look at David, who is the only person in the Bible called “A man after God’s heart”.
Once David was perceived to be a threat to King Saul’s security, he had to flee for his life and remained in exile from his family and friends for 14 years.
We see in 1 Samuel 24:9-12 David refused to harm the King. He could see beyond the cruelness of Saul and saw the authority given him.
He knew if he honoured the one God put in authority, he would in fact honour God Himself.
Authorities that exist will give an account to God, but in the meantime those who are under their rule will be tested and if they determine to honour, they will be greatly rewarded as indeed David was with no guilt, shame or fault.
On Sunday, July 12, Apostle/Prophet Vassie Pillay of Johannesburg, South Africa, will be visiting Oasis at the Long Gully Community Centre, 27 Havilah Road, Bendigo.
He is a dynamic preacher of the Gospel and anointed to bring personal breakthrough to those who need it. All are welcome.

PRESBYTERIAN
St John’s: Last Sunday at St John's, the Reverend Philip Burns concluded his series on 1 Peter by preaching from chapter 5, verses 6-14.
In these verses, as Peter writes his final comments to his readers, he urges them on to continue strongly towards the finish line, with an attitude of humility toward one another, watchfulness with the regard to the evil one, hopefulness with regard to the future and steadfastness with regard to the gospel.
Jesus said “he who endures to the end will be saved'.
Even in those dark days of the first century when God's people were being persecuted, they were called to hold their heads high and remain faithful.
In these days, God's people are to respond to the world's renewed hatred in the same way.
Home groups, playgroup and Sunday school are all in recess for the school holidays.
Next Sunday, the Reverend Burns will preach on Psalm 19 at 10:30am, followed by morning tea in the hall.
For more information or to hear this week's message, visit http://bendigopc.org.au
Eaglehawk: Last Sunday the Reverend John Sutherland preached from Luke C5 V17-26, “Your sins are forgiven”.
Jesus went about preaching and healing all kinds of diseases and infirmities.
Crowds of people followed Him, some wanting to be healed, some just to witness the miracles He performed.
Today people do not believe in Jesus, let alone His birth, death on the cross and His resurrection. They say Jesus was probably a good man and His miracles fairy stories.
How wrong they are - these miracles were witnessed by godly men who recorded these things they saw.
Jesus can see into our hearts to see what sin abounds in us.
One of the greatest problems we have today is the inability to forgive.
Jesus Christ died on the cross, shedding His blood to defeat sin and death so that those who will believe on His name will have their sins forgiven forever.
Why do we have the need to be forgiven? We are all sinners, every one of us,
Jesus sees us as being like the paralytic in the reading, unable to do anything in our own strength.
He forgave and healed the man lowered down before Him and He will do the same to all who will call on Him.
God hates sin and if you do not believe you must accept the punishment, eternal death
There are three R’s in this message: 1. we must RECOGNISE that we are unworthy sinners before a Holy God.
2. We must REPENT and ask forgiveness, never returning to our sins.
3. When we do these we receive REDEMPTION and eternal life.
Sunday, July 5 - 10am Worship service. This service will be conducted by the Reverend Grant Vayne.
Wednesday, July 8 - 9am weekly prayer meeting followed by Bible study at 10.30am.

SOUTHERN GATEWAY
What an anointed day we had last Sunday. Pastor Phil Hills preached from James helping us to see that the trials God allows leads us to a strengthening of resolve.
We come through in Jesus’s name by perseverance and more powerful testimony in our lives as Christian witnesses.
No matter the trial, His grace is sufficient for us who believe in Him. We need to acknowledge the trial and count it all as joy.
The Jewish Christians of those times encountered many trials and James, as leader of the church in Jerusalem, was in a perfect position to offer encouragement.
Bob Yam shared also, in the Communion Reflection, that our sinfulness brings on trials which we overcome as co-heirs of Christ.
Linda Fraser and Karolyn Webster were mighty worship leaders with songs of praise of our marvellous God.
Next week is our Mission Sunday followed by a shared lunch. We. Invite you to join us for a loving time of worship and hearing the Word preached with authority. Our service is at 10am in the Y Community Hall opposite Aldi in Kangaroo Flat.
Our next Lady Day is at June Mathews’ home on the last Wednesday at 10am.
Prayer support and information from Pastor Peter Pritchard on 0413 682 999.

This will be the final church service to be held in the old All Saints Church at the corner of Forest and McKenzie streets.
All are welcome to come and join with us to reflect on the spiritual heritage of the site and worship with us for this final service.
This site has been a place of worship for more than 100 years and the VHF congregation would like to acknowledge the good work that has been done by past and present parishioners.
Many have come and gone from the church over the years, moving to other towns, cities and countries, taking with them God’s light and love to far-off places.
We will hear a final message from the Bishop and share in morning tea, so come and celebrate with us.
