MORE than 150 ladies donned slippers and danced the night away at a special cocktail party in Maiden Gully on Friday night.
The event was held in support of mother-of-two Sam Lindsay, who was diagnosed with secondary soft tissue sarcoma late last year.
Organiser and friend Michelle Leersen said the party went off without a hitch, raising $15,000 for the Lindsay family. "Hopefully the money will take a little worry away and help them to enjoy themselves," she said.
Ms Leersen said Mrs Lindsay was touched by the volume of people who turned out to the event.
"She was pretty overwhelmed but very thankful that everybody had come together," she said.
"It was a special night. We just hope it helps the family."
