Today's Give Me Five For Kids telethon is not only a great way of giving a few dollars to a ward trusted with the care of our precious little people, but is a way of saying thanks to those who do such great work in bringing them back to full health.
Last year, the annual 3BOFM month-long fundraising event resulted in more than $94,000 for the hospital, $20,000 of which was raised during the telethon.
The goal is to top that with this year's efforts – and we can all do our bit to help.
3BO staff members and volunteers will today broadcast live from the top of the Bendigo Bank from 6am until 6pm, taking your calls and pledges.
Every dollar raised will go towards the purchase of new equipment for the paediatric ward, and it only takes a few dollars from each of us to quickly add up to a significant amount of money.
Well done to 3BO for its continued commitment to Give Me Five For Kids, and thank you to those working on the children's ward day and night.
