A COMMUNITY forum will be held on Saturday, May 30, regarding the upgrade of the Ravenswood interchange.
The $86 million project is jointly funded by the federal and state governments, and will replace the existing Calder Highway/Calder Alternative Highway intersection.
VicRoads project director Trevor Boyd said the forum was an opportunity for the community to talk about the project.
The upgrade will incorporate a large circulating road, as well as two bridges to carry traffic over two new Calder Freeway carriageways for Bendigo and Melbourne bound traffic.
Construction is expected to begin this year and the interchange is planned to be open to traffic by the end of 2017.
Mr Boyd said community information sessions were held earlier this year and the forum would look at how the feedback had been used.
Key themes shared by the community included local access, managing traffic during the construction and how the changes to the local environment, Mr Boyd said.
The forum will be held at the Big Hill Winery (off the Calder Highway), Saturday, May 30, from 10am to noon.
