The mastermind of the now iconic Hanging Rock concerts has added to that reputation by securing the legendary Cold Chisel for a "one night only" performance on November 21.
"I've been really looking out for the right headline Australian act and as soon as I found it I jumped on it," he said.
"We've had some incredible internationals there but I think it's fitting that some of the shows are headlined by big Australian acts and it was a matter of finding the right one and Chisel are just iconic."
Mr Gudinski owns property in the Macedon Ranges and said the Hanging Rock shows had become a pet project of his in recent years.
"(The venue is) really one of the best kept secrets in that region," he said.
"Nothing against Rod Laver Arena or the Sydney Entertainment Centre, they're great venues, but you're always looking for something special and different – no one would have heard of Red Rocks if it wasn't for U2 doing that show."
