The Adelaide-based cyclist will be aiming to capitalise on home-track advantage as many of Australia's track stars take on riders from New Zealand, Great Britain, China, USA and more.
O'Shea reigned supreme in last Saturday night's battle for the Melbourne Cup on Wheels.
Racing off scratch, he won the 79th edition of the prestigious event for a second time.
The backmarkers, led by Callum Scotson, Sam Welsford and Nick Yallouris, made contact with the leading group at three laps (750m) to go.
From that point O'Shea, with Jackson Law (15m) glued to his wheel, proceeded to circle the field and charge for victory.
One of the country's most versatile track endurance cyclists, O'Shea has sights on a second Olympics campaign in Rio in 2016.
A big year has included road action with the Budget Forklifts Team.
An Olympic silver medallist, Commonwealth Games silver medallist and mutliple world champion, O'Shea is a four-time winner of the Bendigo Advertiser Sports Star of the Year awards.
He and world champion yachtsman Glenn Ashby were joint winners in this year's 50th anniversary of Sports Star, which is proudly backed by Bendigo Bank and Prime 7.
Meanwhile, another of Bendigo's cycling stars, Sam Crome is equal ninth in the Subaru National Road Series after theTour of Toowoomba.
