The senior men's team won a 2-1 in a free-flowing contest.
Although the CV Blazers started the stronger they were unable to convert any of their early goal shots or penalty corners.
Monash Uni did capitalise and took the lead midway through the first half.
As both teams stretched the field and pressed high, it created a lot of space on the field leading to an open game in which neither team controlled possession for large amounts of time.
Monash led 1-0 at half-time.
CV Blazers goalkeeper Ryan Gill was a standout in the second half.
Midway through the half the Blazers made the most of an attacking free hit just outside the circle when Giles Mummery deflected a pass into the Monash goalkeeper before Caillan Welton tapped in the easiest of goals.
Soon after the CV Blazers took the lead when their new midfield recruit from Canberra, Mike Jude, smoothly slotted a penalty corner flick into the bottom right corner with eight minutes to go.
The Blazers have won three contests at home.
In the senior women's match, Monash was first to score from a penalty stroke.
CV Blazers stormed back with two goals to a determined Kate Shallard and one to Jade Deppeler to complete a 3-1 victory.
In the reserves, the CV Blazers women won 5-0. The men were beaten 5-0.
Blazers play at Knox Hockey Club this Saturday.
