After losing its past two inter-league matches, Loddon Valley was optimistic it could walk away from the match with a win, and that’s exactly what happened.
Coached by Jen Morrison, Loddon Valley scored a memorable 63-35 win at Bendigo’s Queen Elizabeth Oval.
“We needed to pick a young and the most versatile team we could and hoped that they would be able to gel together,” she said.
“The first quarter was fairly even and then they were able to get it all together and they were able to have a convincing win.”
Defender Tahnee Cannan was named Loddon Valley’s best.
Morrison also said Pyramid Hill young gun Zoe Kennedy was impressive through the mid-court.
“She fed the ball well into the goals, she had pin-point accuracy throughout the entire game,” she said.
“She really stood out and was one who really rose to the occasion.”
