The 28-year-old Bendigo man pleaded guilty to charges of careless driving and failure to provide details after the crash.
The court heard the man was driving his Holden utility on Houston Street with a passenger when he lost control at the roundabout with Carpenter Street due to high speed.
He collided with the rear of a Renault parked on a driveway parallel to the road, pushing the car forwards into the rear of a parked Toyota Hilux.
The Renault was written off and the Hilux sustained extensive damage to its rear.
Prosecutor Leading Senior Constable Alan Walker said the man drove around the corner and out of sight of the owners of the car, before returning to the scene on foot "with a beer in his hand", but he had not been drinking.
"He told the owners of the cars not to contact police and to let the insurance companies sort it out," he said.
The man left the scene without leaving details with others involved.
Police arrested him at his address the next day when he made full admissions to the crash.
The defence told the court the man had hit the kerb, spun into a parked car and his wheel locked.
The court heard the man relies on his licence for work and had deeply regretted the crash.
Magistrate Richard Wright said the driver had given the cars "a hell of a whack".
"You were going too fast, lost control, crashed, caused significant damage - but for the grace of God you didn't kill anybody," he said.
The man had his licence suspended for three months and was fined $1500 without conviction
