The band was unearthed by Triple J for the Bendigo leg of Groovin the Moo.
Fountaineer's clip was filmed in Golden Square with the band redesigning a number of pop culture references and logos from decades gone by.
The nostalgic feel adds to an already outstanding song that embraces Bendigo and the small town narrative.
To coincide with the release of Grand Old Flags, the band is hosting a Facebook competition to name the stickers in the clip is running for the month where fans can win limited edition Fountaineer skateboards and rare stickers used in the video.
All fans have to do is name as many stickers used in the video as they can and post it on the band's Facebook page.
"We are really excited to share this," lead singer Anthony White said.
"The clip was shot in Golden Square and was loosely inspired by the cult 80's movie Gleaming the Cube.
"There's also a fairly obvious reference to a local radio station which Bendigo people might recognise."
White said the upcoming album aimed at creating an atmosphere and feeling as well as telling stories.
"That's why the album has taken so long, we wanted to make it sound special and different," he said.
"We are very inspired by Springsteen and (our sound) is probably that 80s kind of anthem with a bit of punk thrown in."
