Police and firefighters were alerted to the blaze in Railway Place by a member of the public early on Tuesday morning.
The Ford sedan was fully alight when emergency services arrived.
Police from the Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating whether the car was stolen.
It is believed the car caught on fire sometime between 4.40am and 4.50am.
Police are also investigating a burglary from a shed in Plumridge Street in White Hills.
Sergeant Della Nihill said a generator and demolition saw were stolen from the property. She said the tools were valued at about $4000.
