After losing game one in Cleveland, the Cavs returned to their brilliant best in the 106-91 victory.
The Cavs burst out of the blocks and led by as many as 22 points in the first quarter before settling for a 19-point lead at half-time.
Dellavedova played his part in the first half onslaught, with eight points and five assists, including two three-pointers.
The Bulls made a run in the third quarter to get within 11 points, but the Cavs settled to win comfortably.
LeBron James scored 33 points for the Cavs and Kyrie Irving added 21 points.
Cavs coach David Blatt was full of praise for his bench players, who stepped up in the absence of injured forward Kevin Love and suspended guard J.R. Smith.
”We got great contributions from everybody that came into the game,'' Blatt said.
"Our starters were terrific, but the guys that came off the bench were a critical part of us winning the game. We need it, obviously, down a few guys. We really need that and they gave it to us.”
Game three of the series will be played in Chicago on Saturday morning AEST.
