The Maryborough veteran has had a decorated career in the Bendigo Football Netball League and boasts a netball resume many would dream of having.
Cassidy is a Betty Thompson medalist, a five time club best and fairest winner and a life member of the Magpies.
Not one to gloat about her achievements, the modest mid-court star says she was proud to have been involved with Maryborough Football Netball Club for about 20 years.
"I suppose it is a big achievement," Cassidy said.
The mother of two said there wasn't a secret to her longevity in the sport.
"I am a PE teacher, so I have a passion to stay fit and be a role model to the kids I teach and for the people around town," she said.
"I have sporting genes in my family, we have always been involved with some sort of sport."
The only thing that has eluded the well respected netballer over her career, is a premiership.
Cassidy said the fact that she hadn't been able to win a premiership had inspired her to keep playing.
"We came close to a premiership in 2000 or 2001," she said.
"We lost to Sandhurst in over-time, that was the closest we have gotten to winning a flag."
Cassidy said the 2015 season would be her final year, saying she felt the timing was right.
"It is getting harder," Cassidy said.
"My kids are growing up and they are now getting involved with sporting clubs, so weekends are getting even more hectic.
"My daughter Millie, she just started playing netball and I am coaching her as well.
"You can always get your arm twisted and play again, but at the moment I am saying this will be my last year."
Maryborough will host ladder-leaders Golden Square at Princes Park on Saturday.
Cassidy admits they will be in for a tough day at the office.
"It is going to be a wet weekend, so hopefully that will slow the game down a bit and our defenders can stand taller," she said.
"Golden Square are good all over the court, so we will have to play blinders if we are to get close to them."
Cassidy said Maryborough's lapses on court had proved costly this season.
"We let ourselves down in quarters this season," she said.
"We have the talent to match it with the best teams in the competition, so it is just a mater of time before we can all come together and play well and pinch a game against a team in the top five."
The BFNL A-grade match will be played at 3.20pm.
