The Blazers won several penalty corners in the opening 15 minutes.
Kate Shallard converted one with a strong hit from the top of the circle, but it was called too high.
Throughout the first half Shallard and Maddy White were relentless in their pursuit of the ball and the Brunswick defenders.
Despite chances at both ends of the pitch, no goals were scored in the first half.
The second half was more open as neither team controlled possession for large portions of time.
Both goalkeepers impressed with their calmness, control and reflexes.
The deadlock was broken 10 minutes in when a reverse stick shot from the top of the circle by White bobbled through a crowded pack and snuck in the corner after deflecting off a defender.
Goal scoring chances continued to flow.
Courtney Waterson made several key saves in goal.
At three minutes to go Shallard's strike from the top of the circle off a penalty corner beat the keeper to secure a 2-0 victory.
Meanwhile, on Sunday afternoon the CV Blazers men drew one-all at St Bedes.
Andrew Niblett struck the CV Blazers lone goal.
In the reserves, the men drew two-all, while the women scored a 6-2 win against Brunswick.
This week the men host Werribee Tigers on Saturday at 2pm, while the women travel to Mornington.
