The event, which is aimed at celebrating women in the community, will be recognising the efforts of people in and around the club. 

The function will also raise money for organisations that fund breast cancer research and for groups that work to minimise violence against women. 

There will be a lunch, guest speakers and activities on the day.

All guests who attend will receive a show bag promoting women's health, wellbeing, beauty and childcare. 

There will be a raffle, with a range of prizes also up for grabs. 

The event will be held at the Gisborne Football Netball Club at 12-noon on May 16.

On the same day, Gisborne will be taking on Sandhurst in round seven action of the Bendigo Football Netball League. 

Tickets to the function cost $40 for adults and $30 for students. 

Tables of 10 are available.
