A TOTAL of 350 cattle came forward this week. Quality was excellent and the prices were five to eight cents dearer across the entire yarding.  

A large  run of good quality veal and young cattle came forward and the top vealer reached $2.68 per kilo, five cents dearer than last week. 

Heavy steers were in good supply and condition was very good. Prices were good, with the top steer reaching $2.58 cents per kilo, up eight cents on last week. 

Medium to heavy steers  were in good supply as well. The top steer reached $2.60 per kilo.

A large yarding of excellent quality cows came forward and the top cow reached $2.12 per kilo, holding fully firm. 

Due to Lifetime Traceability scanning, cattle must be delivered to the saleyards by 9pm. All cattle must carry a NLIS ear tag before being transported.
