THE judging panel for the 51st Bendigo Bank Bendigo Advertiser-Prime 7 Sports Star of the Year face a hectic meeting on Tuesday.
Superb performances from February, March and April will be evaluated.
Contenders for April include Oceania judo champion Bryan Jolly, Australian decathlon titleholder Blake Pryse, and a quartet from Bendigo East Bowling Club.
Jolly won gold in the under-21 under-55kg division at the Oceania judo titles in New Caledonia.
Pryse capped his final meet at under-20 level by winning the Athletics Australia under-20 decathlon title.
He achieved a personal best score of 7082 points in the 10-discipline duel.
Bendigo East’s David Morris, Brad Holland and David Keenan won the Bowls Victoria triples championship on home greens.
They later teamed with clubmate Gary Ryan to win the fours final.
Bendigo Clay Target Club’s rising star Laura Woolley was the champion of champions and won the 100 target point score at the National Trap titles in Wagga Wagga.
Strathdale’s Tayla Vlaeminck was named Cricket Victoria’s best under-age player 2014-15 after outstanding performances with the ball at the national under-18 championships.
