Gisborne hosts Square at Gardiner Reserve on Saturday in what’s the BNL’s match of the round.
When they last met, Golden Square upstaged Gisborne by four goals in last year’s preliminary final.
Golden Square sits on top of the A grade ladder with an unblemished 3-0 record.
Gisborne is third with a 2-1 record and coming off a 54-goal thumping of Castlemaine last week.
Like Gisborne, Maryborough will also be chasing the scalp of an undefeated team when it hosts Sandhurst at Barkers Oval Princes Park.
The match continues a challenging fortnight for the Magpies, who last week battled valiantly in a 12-goal loss to reigning premier Kangaroo Flat.

Strathfieldsaye should rebound from an 18-goal loss to Golden Square last week when its hosts the battling Castlemaine, which is on the bottom of the ladder.
And at the QEO, Kyneton travels to take on the winless South Bendigo.
