Danny Curran returned to the same sales he purchased boom filly The Big Dance at last year for just $750.
The Big Dance has had one start for a brilliant win in the $250,000 VOBIS Gold Rush at Bendigo last month.
This time around Curran spent $1500 for a filly out of Caulfield Guineas winner Anacheeva and $6000 on a Reward For Effort filly.
Shaun Dwyer was the busiest Bendigo trainer, spending a total of $77,000 for four yearlings.
He paid $36,000 for a Turffontein filly, $16,000 for a Master Of Design colt, $13,500 for a Duke Of Marmalade filly and $11,500 for a Toorak Toff filly.
The Master Of Design colt is from the same family as smart gallopers Hidden Wonder and Kenwood Melody, while the Duke Of Marmalade filly is bred to be a stayer.
Shane Fliedner outlayed $22,000 for a Reward For Effort colt that is a half brother to She’s Got Gears.
Adam O’Neill spent $5000 on a filly by imported sire Host out of Kiwi mare Northeast Note.
Gus Philpot paid $10,000 in total for a filly by Star Witness and a filly by Benfica, while Brian Gentle added to his growing stable by purchasing a Dr Doute’s filly for just $1500.
Gentle, who moved to Bendigo from NSW in the middle of last year, has a host of juvenile horses coming through his yard.
