CHANNEL 7 show Highway Patrol is filming in Bendigo this week.
A camera crew will follow Bendigo's highway patrol around as they target the most common offences in Bendigo.
Sergeant Mick McCrann said it was good to spread the message of road safety.
"We are targeting offences that cause us the most grief in Bendigo," he said.
"Things like failing to obey signs, speed, failing to wear a seatbelt, using mobile phones while driving are offences that lead to collisions and serious injuries."
It has been about four years since Highway Patrol last filmed in Bendigo.
"It's good to get local media on board and helping get the road safety message out there," Sergeant McCrann said.
"(For some drivers) it can be confronting (to see a camera) but some find it funny.
"People just need to be pateint an realise we are doing our job. These guys are just recording what we do."
