The men travelled to face Greater Dandenong Warriors HC and the women took on Yarra Valley.
Returning Blazer George Miller and recruits Mike Jude and Ben Coe provided strength and stability in the midfield.

There was a late injury scare to Blazers playing-coach Duncan Moodie, when he suffered a suspected broken nose after being struck by fellow defender Luke Roney in a goal line frenzy.
Meanwhile, the CV Blazers women’s team had a two-nil loss at Yarra Valley.
The Blazers showed a lot of promise in their first hit-out of the season.
Goalkeeper Courtney Waterson made some fantastic stick saves.
In the reserves, Blazers women were beaten, 3-2.
The men were defeated 6-1 in the reserves clash.
