Second-year coach at the Bulls, Tom Carland said the team's workrate was excellent.
The Bulls kept Wedderburn goalless in the second and third quarters.
Among the many highs for the Bulls was the play of Connor Walsh against Feeny medallist and Redbacks' star Mark Lloyd.
Donald celebrated a long-awaited victory in its first hit-out of the season.
After a winless run in 2014, Donald won by three goals at Wycheproof-Narraport.
A first-time coach, Luke Fisher said there were many great signs in Donald's play.
"Our ball movement, especially going forward was excellent for a lot of the match," Fisher said.
"We have some strong-marking targets and they played really well."
Donald full-forward Seamus Young kicked a match-high seven goals in the ??? win.
"He and Chris Prockter are both great targets for us," Fisher said.
In the ruck duels, Nathan Dunstan conceded a lot of height to Chris Howgate, which is what many ruckmen will do when they face Wyche this season.
"Nathan (Dunstan) competed strongly at the centre ball-ups and worked hard around the ground."
Donald's best included Daniel Pearce at half-back and Darcy Harrison from a wing.
Recruited to the Royals from Springbank in the Central Highlands Football League, Fisher played in an on-ball role.
Injuries to Ross Funcke and Chris Prockter meant Donald was limited in rotations from off interchange.
Joseph McGrath kicked seven goals in Charlton’s win against St Arnaud.
