Executive officer Daryl Cheeseman said the association was now home to 131 teams - up 25 per cent on the 105 that took part last season.
They range from youngsters in grade three at primary school to the open sections for players aged 18 and under.
"It is certainly a lot of teams," Cheeseman said ahead of Saturday's first matches.
Newcomers to BSNA this year are: Camp Hill (four teams), St Kilian's (5), Marist College (1), Bendigo Northern Flames (10), Girton (1) and Kangaroos (6).
They join several established clubs including Strathdale, which boasts 25 teams, and Zodiacs, 17 teams.
"It's great because, as an association, you want to see the growth of the competition," Cheeseman said.
"Our problem is how to accommodate them all, but we are finding ways to do that."
Despite early suggestions that some games might have to be played on Fridays to fit everyone in, all matches remain on Saturdays with some minor schedule tweaking.
"We are going later on Saturdays, with a 3.30-4.30pm timeslot, but we are right on the limit and could not do it with any more teams," Cheeseman said.
"Some people are still keen to play Friday nights and maybe we will look at that again next year, but for now we are staying on Saturdays.
"The main growth has been in our primary section, especially grades three and four, which have almost doubled in size.
"There is definitely a lot of young kids out there wanting to play netball games."
Round one matches start at 8.30am at the Flora Hill Stadium and outside courts.
