ParcelPass sponsored the award for the first time last year and will continue its support.

The Addy's BFL Player of the Year Award is voted on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis by members of the sports department after each senior game.

"We enjoyed being involved in the award last year and are looking forward to getting back on board again this season," ParcelPass operations manager Moses Tauelangi said on Wednesday.

"We sponsor a couple of bowling clubs as well and were involved in the Easter Motorfest with the Bendigo Car Club, and with footy being as big as it is in Bendigo, why wouldn't we want to be a part of that, too."

Sandhurst ruckman Tim Martin was last year's Bendigo Advertiser-ParcelPass BFL Player of the Year, winning the award with 32 votes, two clear of Golden Square's Corey Jones.

This year is the eighth season in a row the Addy has been running a BFL Player of the Year Award.

The leading vote-getter throughout the past seven years has been Gisborne hard-nut Ollie Messaoudi with 132, followed by former Golden Square team-mates Grant Weeks (125) and Mark Lloyd (124).
