Victory in Saturday’s third stage on the climb to Kalamunda meant Crome was within two seconds of tour lead Guy Kalma and a second behind Jack Bobridge.
The tour finale was yesterday’s criterium in Perth’s central business district.
Angus Tobin won the street duel ahead of Michael Schwelzer, Bobridge and Crome.
Although he was 10th in that stage, Kalma won the tour by 26 seconds from Bobridge.
Racing for Charter Mason-Giant, Crome was 1.51 behind Kalma.
