BACK at the top of the BDCA for the fourth time in five years - but only just.

Produced one of the great BDCA grand final comeback wins of all time when they came from nowhere to beat Strathfieldsaye by two wickets with three balls to spare thanks to the heroics of brothers Ben and Jacob DeAraugo.

The grand final win over the Jets capped a streak of 11 victories in a row for the Suns.

They lost two of their first three matches against Huntly-North Epsom and Golden Square, but from the moment Ben DeAraugo and Cameron Taylor rescued them from 4-65 against Bendigo United at Harry Trott Oval in round four, the Suns barely put a foot wrong.

Were the No.1 ranked batting side this season, cracking four scores above 300, while they were only bowled out four times in their 14 matches.

Nick Baker, Ben DeAraugo and Cameron Taylor all smashed tons during the season and were among five Suns’ players who made more than 300 runs.

Taylor also produced a career-best season with the ball, taking 36 wickets.

Andrew Hosking and Sam Johnston proved themselves valuable additions to the side.
