One entrant will be Anita Scott's children's fairy tale character themed float, featuring costumed dancers and LED lights.
Ms Scott, who owns a costume and mascot hire store in Marong, said it would be the third year she'd entered the parade.
"I have got thousands of costumes at my disposal and a lot of people who can make up scenery and props for me so we just all got together," she said.
"I usually get out in one of the costumes and the marshals usually try and figure out which one I am."
EARLIER:
This year's Bendigo Easter Festival is set to be the biggest in years with 62 entrants in the gala parade, 10 more than last year.
Bendigo Easter Festival advisory committee chair Cr Rod Fyffe said the number of entrants had remained steady at around 52 since 2007.
"This year’s gala parade will feature three pipe and three brass bands, five entries from sponsors, six fire brigades, five army groups, two car groups, two dog groups, five sporting groups, three dance schools and 28 community groups including the massive entry from the Bendigo Chinese Association," he said.
"We also have a total of 80 volunteers compared to 50 last year to help run the many new activities that will be taking place as part of the 2015 festival."
Cr Fyffe said huge crowds were expected to match the increased number of participants.
“Despite what some may think the festival is actually growing and this year it’s really shaping up to be a ripper with plenty on offer," he said.
"In fact there is something for everyone from the very young to the not so young."
