JUNIOR swimmers from across the state were in the state spotlight at the weekend, with youngsters competing at the Victorian Country All Junior competition.

Held across two days at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre a large number of Bendigo East Swimming Club members competed.
The semi-finals were held on Saturday the with 16 swimmers making it through to the finals on Sunday.
The Bendigo East young guns claimed a total of 10 medals at the meet.
Sebastian Wood was the standout for the club, winning three medals.
He won a silver medal in the 13-years boys butterfly, silver in backstroke and silver in freestyle.
Matthew Baxter won two medals, a silver in the 10-years boys butterfly and bronze in backstroke.
Ella Downing won silver in the 9-years girls butterfly and Kiara Verbeek also won silver in the 14 years girls breaststroke.
Harry Downing got a bronze in the 12-years boys backstroke as did Kaitlyn Morgan in the 14-years girls breaststroke.
James Kealy also won a silver medal in the 11-years boys backstroke.
Most of the club’s swimmers are now are expected to have a break until the winter short course season kicks off.
